This easy garlic and white bean hummus is so simple! It takes less than 5 minutes to make and will last about 1 week once refrigerated. If you like your hummus a bit more on the spicy side, like me, then add 3 garlic cloves, but for a less spicy and more mild hummus use 1-2 cloves of garlic instead.
This simple and quick recipe is great served as a delicious appetizer or as a tasty, healthy lunch. The best part is I promise your kids will not even know they are eating beans and this quick and easy recipe will become a requested family favorite!
- 1 can cannellini beans
- 1 spring of fresh parsley
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
- lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon squeezed)
- salt and pepper to taste
- Drain and rinse the cannellini beans
- Blend all the ingredients together in a blender
Blend until smooth and creamy. If too dry add more EVOO, until the hummus has a smooth consistency.
Serve with pita chips or sliced vegetables of your choice. Enjoy!
